Message when it is under a load. Ever notice when you turn on your head lights, the engine speed will dip at idle? Or if your alternator belt is loose, the alternator belt will squeal when you turn on the head lights. The load is coming from the electromagnets being energized with more voltage. It takes more torque to cross that electro magnetic field in the alternator.
